| so a friend of mine introduced me to a poem by Allama Iqbal.
it's called Wings of Gaberiel. here's a rough translation of the poem
there is yet more than the land beyond the stars,
there is yet more than this test of love.
the vast spaces in life are frivolous,
there are yet more bountiful caravans here now.
do not be satisfied with the world of sense,
there are yet more flower gardens, more nest.
you are an eagle, fling is what you do,
there iis yet more than the air in front of you.
if you have lost one nest, then why grieve?
there are yet more opportunities to lament.
do not get caught up in this entanglement of day and night,
for there is yet more than your land and properties.
the days are gone when i was lonely in acrowded place,
there are yet more of my close friends here with me now.
so tell me what you think of the poem.
im interested to know

| been a while since i updated so here i go
so yah, last week someone asked me why i disable the comments thing
on the old entries. well the way i see it, they r old commentary for an
old entry. yes it would be nice to go back to them occasionally nd read
what people thought about my thoughts (make sense?) but why not focus
on the future, instead of looking into the past? (again make sense?
it's sad but i think i am senseless)
MANGOS
anywhere you go lately, look around. there' mango. mango on
salads. frozen mango sorbet. mango salsa.dry mango, fresh mango. mango this
mango that mango you and mango me. mango has become the new mainstream
in today’s fast food, foreign food and freaky food
items being chucked your way by america’s mango peddlers
So I just have to ask…what’s up with all the mango?
The world is full of smells. and u know, the more i think about it,
the more convinced i am that i can totally become a smell detective,
that is if there's such a thing.
and VOILA end of new entry :]

| so yah like anthony said, i haven't been updating much. sorry but the truth is.....
i been busy.
as simple as that
but no worries, here comes a brand new post
ok sorry i ll keep the cornyness to a low minimum
so here's my question to you
have you ever had an experience where something really good just
happened to you but you are afraid to share it with anyone because you
are afraid you might loose that 'happy' feeling? even though the good
thing that has just happened to you makes you smile everytime you think
about it? and the more you think about it, the more happy you are? and
everytime you think about it an overwhelming flush of happiness just
rushes through you? and even though what happened to you might make
other people feel happy for you somehow you are afraid to share
it with your friends, even your best friends, because some how you feel
like you would loose that feeling once you shared it? somehow if you
shared it, it wouldnt be as special?
so have you?
is the person being selfish by not sharing it?

lies about
ridiculous stuff
so yesterday i stopped by starbucks to get a cup of my all time
favorite hot drink - chai latte. there i was, standing in line, waiting
patiently for my turn. this man in front of me suddently receives a
call. he flipped the phone open and answered , "curt sawyer speaking,"
and then he managed to have a 3 min conversation briefly decribing the
interior of some house and the best time to set up for open house. so i
guessed he was a realtor. after his conversation ended, this woman in
front of him turned around and asked him several... um... very
interesting questions. their conversation went something like this:
the woman: "your last name is sawyer?"
the man: "yes it is."
the woman: "really? that's so wild."
the man: "...i guess it is."
the woman: " are you related to tom sawyer?"
the man: *a pause* "yes i am. he was my great great great uncle on my father's side."
the woman: "wow, how does it feel to be related to someone so famous?"
the man: "not that great, people are constantly asking me for my
autograph, and it's quite upsetting because there are just some crazy
ppl out there who wont leave you alone until they find out bout every
single little detail in your life. i have no privacy at all. actually
that's why im here. to scout houses so i can move here. actually i
shouldnt even be telling you this. promise to keep this a secret? i ll
give you my autograph for it."
the woman: " wow, i am so sorry to hear that. i would looooooove to have your autograph."
i could help but let out one of those laughs that sounds more like a humph than a laugh.
he turned around, smiled, nd gave me a wink.
after the woman left, i asked him, "do u find joy in messing with that poor woman's mind?"
he laughed and said, "i got tired of saying, "you idiot, tom sawyer was
a fictional character!" so i started saying yes when people ask me
that."
then for the 1 nd 1/2 minutes waiting time we had we started a
conversation about coffee nd coffee houses and people who dont like
coffee.
so yah anyway
i thought the whole thing was interesting nd that's why i typed it here for all to see.
gummy bears r effin awesome
red ones are my favorite.
actually no, i like them all

jelly beans, toilet paper,
& the urge to
blow bubbles
i am currently eating jelly belly jelly beans
2 root beers + 1 cream soda = a root beer float.
well at least that's what it says on the package
2 coconut + 1 chocolate + 1 cheesecake + 1 raspberry + 2 cherries = chocolate raspberry cheesecake pie
c'mon give me a break.
1st of all when u mix all those jelly beans u end up with a glob of
gooey sticky rubberish jelly that taste absolutely nothing like what
you are telling me it would taste like
2nd of all, y not just make a root beer float
jelly bean? then we’d never have this issue
the key here is techonolgy. we are obviously not advanced enough to
make a multi-flavored jelly bean, so the ppl down at jelly belly
decided to do us all a favor nd include individual recipes on the
label. and u know i appreciate it. i really do.
but w. all the progress we r making in micro chips nd wireless
technologies, u would think someone at the food and drug administration
would push for a lil better research fund down at jelly belly. then
maybe just maybe, we can have a strawberry short cake jelly bean or
chocolate raseberry jelly bean. that would be pretty damn cool. but
until then i guess i'll just have to stick to the recipes they give me.
but c'mon, get ur brain waves pumping and develope the technology for
making multi flavored jelly beans already.
sure its a lot of work, but for sugar, what the hell.
now totally
different topic
toilet paper packaging
a lot of the toilet paper companies use pictures of babies, teddy
bears,
and puppies on their packing. why? after some serious
consideration as i munched on the jelly beans here's what i came up w.
1- babies
babies are soft. babies are cute and cuddly. babies are
squishy and ppl
like to touch them. babies, in general, make you feel like u r alive.
they remind u of innocence and goodness, ur basic instincts. basic
instincts such as the need to wipe ur butt with toilet
paper.
seriously this makes total sense. if u touch a piece of charmings
ultra for example, u are likely to think to urself, wow this is so soft
and squishy, i just love touching it. and if u do think that, then the
company has done its job.
2 - stuff animals
teddy bears are cuddly and loveable. they remind u of the good
old days. they come in different colors, sizes and squishiness levels.
again, all great qualities of a toilet paper. evn though we may not
think to ourselves, oh this paper is cuddy and soft and remind me of my
old memories, its all subconcious baby.
3 - puppies
puppies are cute. and seriously, what more would a person want in a
toilet paper than a brand that is cute. puppies also are clumsy and
sometimes slide into
cabinets in the kitchen. their soft lil bodies then cusions their blow
and hits. again GREAT quality for a toliet paper
k and thus ends my rambling bout toilet paper
now on a side note
i cant seem to chew gum w. out having the urge to blow bubbles
